At least three persons were killed in Vadodara city during the thunderstorms on Monday evening, according to sources.
In the first incident, a 55-year-old man, Jayesh More, was electrocuted while wading through a waterlogged stretch in Subhanpura area, according to officials.
In another incident, a 53-year-old auto driver Girish Chaure was killed before he could escape from his vehicle caught in the midst of the storm, said the officials.The CCTV footage of the accident, which became public on Tuesday, shows an ‘unaware’ Chaure being crushed by a large hoarding that crashed onto his auto rickshaw even as he was attempting to get out and escape. Another incident involved a man identified as Parvat Dangar, a bus conductor, who was electrocuted in the Lalbaug area of the city. According to officials, 10 others were injured in the incident on Monday.
