Announcing the launch of his YouTube channel Navjot Sidhu Official, politician and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu said Wednesday that the platform will offer insights into his personal life, cricket, and more.
“This channel will tell you everything about my life — my journey in cricket, spirituality, health, comedy, lifestyle, and motivation — but not politics,” Sidhu said in Amritsar, making it clear that the channel’s content will focus solely on his personal experiences and interests.
Sidhu said he intends to connect with people on a personal level through the channel. “I have earned everything through hard and honest work — whether it was cricket, commentary, or comedy shows. I never brought home even a rupee from politics,” he stated.
Responding to questions about his political future, Sidhu said, “Only time will tell. But there will be no political content on my YouTube page. This is something I am doing for my daughter.” He added that his wife remains active in politics and will continue to do so.
Talking about his career trajectory, Sidhu said, “I started with cricket, then moved on to commentary, and later to comedy shows. All of this shaped who I am today. IPL commentary is a big part of my life — politics gave me satisfaction, but commentary gives me happiness.”
Commenting on his connection to the state, Sidhu said, “I never brought problems to Punjab, I always came with solutions. If we want to strengthen Punjab, we must rise above greed.”
Sidhu’s new digital venture signals a shift toward personal storytelling and motivational outreach, as he distances himself, at least for now, from active political discourse.
