The Pune International Airport has seen an increase of 1.7 lakh passengers per month since June 2023. According to data shared by Airport Director Santosh Dhoke, not just passenger numbers, but the number of aircraft and amount of cargo handled at the Pune airport has also increased at a stable rate in the past two years.
In June of 2023, a total of 7,63,491 passengers flew through the Pune airport out of which 7,50,162 were domestic passengers while 13,329 were international passengers. In June 2024, this number had increased to 8,34,939 passengers flying through the airport. 8,18,659 of these passengers were domestic travellers while 16,280 were international travellers. Finally in May 2025, 9,38,552 passengers flew through the Pune Airport, 9,04,164 being domestic flyers and 34,388 being international flyers.
In June 2023, 4,983 aircraft flew through the Pune International Airport. 4,873 of these were domestic flights while 110 were international flights. In June 2024, 5,505 aircraft flew through the Pune airport with 5,388 being domestic flights and 117 being international flights.
In May 2025, 6,103 aircraft flew through the airport and 5,856 of these flights were domestic. International flights saw a huge increase in this year with the number going up to 247.
