In a move to position Karnataka on a new growth trajectory, the Government on Thursday unveiled its vision for KWIN City, a project expected to transform the state’s business landscape. It aims to generate an investment of approximately Rs 40,000 crore, integrating knowledge, well-being, and innovation into a cohesive ecosystem that fosters growth.
Spanning 5,800 acres, KWIN City is strategically located between Dabaspet and Doddaballapur, just 45 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, 50 km from the city centre, and 5 km from the Bengaluru-Pune Greenfield Expressway. The city plans to implement meticulously designed intra- and inter-transport systems to reduce congestion and enhance convenience, with seamless connectivity through the Bengaluru-Hubballi-Mumbai Express rail route and proximity to National Highways 44 and 648.
KWIN City envisions a vibrant, green metropolis designed to accommodate 500,000 residents. It will include a solar farm covering 465 acres, capable of generating 0.69 million MWh to meet its entire energy needs. Additionally, the city aims to fulfil 50 per cent of its water requirements through an advanced rainwater harvesting system, with an extra 20 per cent supplied by borewells, ensuring a sustainable and self-sufficient water supply.
KWIN City aims to strengthen Karnataka’s role in the broader business landscape and foster continuous innovation.
