Tensions prevailed at the Nagpur Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport after the airport authorities received a bomb threat over email on Tuesday, Nagpur police confirmed.
The Nagpur police reached the spot and found nothing suspicious in the premise. Talking to The Indian Express Rushikesh Singareddy (IPS) of Nagpur police said, “The accused who sends these threats over email does so through different email ids. There are random things mentioned in the email which are hard to decipher. After the airport authorities received the threat at around 10:15 am, the Nagpur police took necessary steps. However, we did not find anything suspicious at the airport.”
Authorities maintained that the bomb threat was fake and that the search for the accused is underway. However, it becomes difficult owing to several factors such as, use of tor browser by the accused, different IP addresses and different email ids.
