Malayalam actor Azeez Nedumangad recently shared that actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan wanted to remake the hit Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran film Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022) in Hindi, but the idea was later dropped.
Nedumangad, who played a pivotal role in the Malayalam movie, shared in an interview with The Reporter that the film’s story and its success at the box office attracted Aamir, ultimately leading to him considering a Hindi remake.
He said, “They held discussions on who would play what and decided to let the actress who played the mother in Malayalam reprise her role in the Hindi remake as well. They even considered following the same for the rest of the cast too, because they were not able to find actors suitable to play these roles. Since the casting could not happen as they wanted, that film got dropped.”
